During a seminar, organised by JATEC last month, Ukrainian military experts shared how Ukraine had managed to contain the Russian fleet and regain control over the northern part of the Black Sea during the first two years of a full-scale war.
One of JATEC’s priorities is to strengthen cooperation between Ukraine and NATO in developing professional knowledge about threats and improving the quality of collective training.
To this end, the seminar organised last month in Gdynia, Poland was the second of this kind and was dedicated to study the enemy’s forces in the maritime domain.
A number of Ukrainian experts, including representatives of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, participated in the event together with more than 40 representatives of NATO countries and Alliance-affiliated organisations.
During a series of lectures, experts spoke about the tactics of using unmanned aerial vehicles and unmanned boats in the Black Sea, the current security situation in the Azov-Black Sea area.
Participants also discussed emerging security threats at sea and potential scenarios for the Baltic Sea.
The event became yet another example of how JATEC gathers Ukraine’s unique combat insights, provides recommendations to NATO and Ukraine for transformation, as well as promoting interoperability between Ukraine and the Alliance.
